Arsenal boasts a formidable squad, yet they remain keen on enhancing their attacking prowess, particularly in the striker department.
Former Tottenham Hotspur player Darren Bent, also a fervent Arsenal supporter, has expressed his desire for manager Mikel Arteta to pursue Alexander Isak in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Isak, who recently netted twice for Newcastle United against Tottenham Hotspur, has caught the eye with his impressive performances.
The 24-year-old’s prolific record includes 17 goals in 21 Premier League starts this season, following his £63 million transfer to Newcastle.
Darren Bent urges Arsenal to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak
Bent said about Isak (4:40 pm, April 15, 2024): “Again, I am not saying that they are the same, but the way he finishes, that side foot, is like Thierry, just caress it into the far corner.
“But yeah, if there was one centre-forward out there you said who should Arsenal buy, it’s him.”
When asked how much he would go for this summer, Bent said: “£80-100 million, and I would happily pay it.”
The pundit added about Isak: “He can do everything. He can take the ball in tight spaces, he can create, he can even come off the left.”
