A criminal from Aberdeen FC might go to jail for mistreating stewards during an Ibrox Rangers game.

The 43-year-old David Mitchell hurled insults at the referees during the May 2023 game, which the home team won 1-0. This is his third offense involving football, following two instances in Glasgow and one at a McDonald’s in Aberdeen.

In a contest that the hosts won 1-0, the Dons had traveled to Govan to play their fierce rivals. According to court documents, Mitchell acted abusively or in a threatening manner during the game.

According to the accusation, he cursed, yelled, and made derogatory comments to stadium stewards. Mitchell was initially charged with a breach of peace in Glasgow in 2007. This is his third offense involving football.In 2020, Mitchell was fined £570 for going on a divisive tirade at an Aberdeen McDonald’s regarding face masks. Mitchell had seen a pair, the woman wearing a standard face mask and the man sporting one with the Rangers logo on it.
