The agent representing Southampton loanee Carlos Alcaraz has stated that the midfielder’s purchase option depends on the number of games he participates in for Juventus this season.
Juventus secured the services of midfielder Carlos Alcaraz on loan from Southampton during the last winter transfer window, with an option to make the move permanent for a fee reportedly around €50 million.
However, Sebastian Lopez, his agent, revealed that the purchase clause’s value is not fixed but rather dependent on Alcaraz’s playing time with Juventus. “I cannot provide details on the contract that was signed,” the agent stated to Italian outlet TuttoJuve, “But I can say that the greater the number of appearances, the more the value will decrease.
” While Juventus is anticipated not to exercise the option on the midfielder and instead negotiate another loan deal with Southampton in the summer, Lopez emphasized that no decision has been finalized, and Alcaraz’s future will only be deliberated upon at the season’s end.
“I still do not have any news on Charly’s future,” Lopez mentioned. “Juventus are committed to finishing their season and achieving their goals. This will be a topic that will be discussed soon.” Despite the uncertainty, the 21-year-old, who has featured in six matches for Juventus, reportedly expresses a desire to continue with the Serie A giants.
