Crysencio Summerville is the focus of transfer rumors ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Leeds United forward has been a standout player for the team in the Championship this season, which has raised questions about his future at Elland Road, particularly if the team is unable to achieve its objective of regaining promotion to the Premier League. It has been reported that teams like Liverpool, Newcastle United, and AC Milan are all keeping an eye on the forward.
Fabrizio Romano provides Crysencio Summerville update
Romano has stated that several teams are pursuing the Leeds winger, , but that nothing has reached an advanced stage just yet.
The Yorkshire team will have to decide this summer regarding Summerville’s future because he thinks teams would press for a deal.
“Crysencio Summerville – I’ve been asked by some fans about links with Liverpool and others, and for sure many, really many clubs are monitoring Crysencio Summerville ahead of this summer,” said Romano, via the Daily Briefing.
“At the moment I’m told there’s nothing advanced with anyone, but interest will be there.
“Clubs will push, then it will be up to Leeds United to make a decision in the summer.”
Leeds is reportedly demanding £45 million for Summerville in the midst of rumors over his future.
It’s unclear if the new manager of Liverpool will insist on signing the 22-year-old because the team is looking for a new management for the upcoming campaign.
Eddie Howe will be looking to bolster his Magpies team following a lackluster year that saw them eliminated from consideration for the Champions League.
Summerville is apparently considered by AC Milan as a possible replacement for Rafael Leao, who has been connected to a move to PSG.
Promotion will be key to Summerville’s future
Leeds did well to keep Summeville last year following their relegation, and that has proven a masterstroke given his importance to the team.
However, failure to gain promotion could be the end of his time at Elland Road, as the opportunity to move to top flight football will be tempting.
It has been claimed that Leeds are hoping to hold talks over a new deal with the player to stave off interest.
But it is difficult to imagine him signing such terms if the club remains in the Championship for another year.
Phillips ‘enquiries made’
The England international struggled throughout the season with consistency, confidence, and traction, and it is anticipated that he will depart Manchester City this summer. Since moving to West Ham United in January, where he has made a number of costly mistakes and drawn a great deal of criticism, those problems have only become more apparent.
It appears like Phillips won’t be pushed by West Ham to become a permanent member of the team, which might allow the midfielder to rejoin his childhood team in the summer, should Leeds get promoted, of course..
