Bulls waive Terry Taylor to create space for Javonte Green on the roster

Javonte Green is back with the Chicago Bulls For their last push.

The seasoned guard/forward will remain with the Bulls on a regular contract after first joining them on an injury hardship exemption 10-day contract. Terry Taylor was waived by the Bulls to create space for Green.

From 2021 to 2023, Green’s tenacity and defensive prowess won him over fans during his rookie season with the Bulls. This season, he moved on to the Golden State Warriors, but he never donned an NBA uniform.

Bulls’ former team called him after his injuries mounted at the end of March. Green had three recent appearances for Chicago, averaging five points, 3.7 rebounds, and 0.7 steals per game.

Because of the prolonged injury to Julian Phillips, the Bulls decided to keep Green. The odd man out, Taylor finished with modest game averages of 1.5 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.3 assists over 31 games.

The Bulls will play their home game against the New York Knicks on Friday. The game will air on NBC Sports Chicago, with tip-off scheduled for 7 PM CT.
