Hucknall MP Mark Spencer joined Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at a special event at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground this week.
In addition, Rushcliffe MP Ruth Edwards (Con) and Coun Ben Bradley MP (Con), the leader of Nottinghamshire Council and the Conservative nominee for the 2017 East Midlands mayoral elections, accompanied Mr. Sunak and Mr. Spencer.

Evangelos Marinakis, the owner of Forest, described his goals for the team, which include investing in sports facilities around Nottinghamshire and encouraging youth physical activity.
“The club will be working with sports clubs across Nottinghamshire (not just football) to help put Nottinghamshire on the map as a sporting capital,” Mr. Spencer wrote in a post on his Facebook page.
