Wilfried Gnonto of Leeds United will be incensed following the formal announcement.

Daniel Farke, the manager of Leeds United, has done an outstanding job at Elland Road this season, and the Whites are having fun in the Championship.

However, clubs are now scheduled to break for international football later this month, which is expected to interrupt their momentum.

Star winger Wilfried Gnonto is the most recent player to receive an international call-up, therefore there will be a lot of attention from Whites.

But the attacker will be incensed that he was called up for the Italy Under-21 team instead of the first team.

According to the official Italian Football Team X Twitter on March 15, Gnonto is included in the 28-man roster for the friendlies against Turkey and Latvia.

The winger currently has 13 senior Italy caps, but he will have to wait to get more as Luciano Spalletti passed him over. This month, the national side will play friendlies against Venezuela and Ecuador.

The 20-year-old has been playing exceptionally well at Elland Road lately, pushing his way into Farke’s thinking after finding it difficult to do so in the past.

Italy’s rejection of Leeds United star Wilfried Gnonto will be devastating.

He is quickly running out of time to make the squad for their Euro 2024 campaign, but he would have hoped for a recall to the senior Italy squad this month.

This summer, Italy will have a very difficult test against Spain, Croatia, and Albania. Gnonto will undoubtedly be itching to be part of the team that goes to Germany.

Between now and then, all he can do is keep up his outstanding performances at Elland Road. This season, the youthful attacker has seven goals and two assists in all competitions, the most of which have come since the start of the year.

Gnonto will undoubtedly be among the first names on the Under-21s’ roster, thus doing well in their next games will be another method to make an impression on Spalletti.
