Pascal Siakam has become the main offensive source with more minutes spent with the second unit as Bennedict Mathurin is out for the remainder of the season. With seven points, including a three-pointer that gave Indiana a 39-35 edge after Siakam had given them a 36-35 advantage, Jarace Walker stood out. Thanks to their bench, the Pacers went from down 34–28 to leading 43–35. Tyrese Haliburton’s field goal with 3:46 left extended the advantage to double digits for the first time. 3. Third Quarter

It was not long until the Chicago Bulls were ahead. With 9:08 remaining in the fourth, DeRozan drove to the rim and made a layup to give Chicago a 67-66 lead. Siakam fouled him, and he went on to make the free throw. Later, with 7:10 remaining in the quarter, Turner would knot the score at 73. Caruso led all scorers with 28 points in the quarter, but DeRozan still had the most.

After a Smith three, the Pacers knotted the game after a full ninety seconds. Siakam’s layup on the subsequent offensive possession put Indiana ahead. The game would be one possession from that point on. Dosunmu’s jumper with 1:33 remaining in regulation gave Chicago a 112-109 lead. Turner’s three-pointer knotted the contest. Turner added another three-pointer with 57 seconds remaining on the following offensive drive, putting Indiana ahead 115–111. In 48 seconds, DeRozan had 5.5 seconds remaining when he went to the line. He created the initialbefore missing the second. Obi Toppin tried redirecting the rebound backwards, but actually directed the ball out of bounds. Everyone in Gainbridge Fieldhouse knew DeRozan was taking the last shot. He hit a fadeaway jumper despite being double-teamed to force overtime. At the end of regulation, it was tied at 117. DeRozan led all scorers with 37 points followed by Caruso with 23 points. Indiana’s leader was Turner with 21 points.

5. Overtime

DeRozan scored the first eight points for the Bulls in overtime after scoring the last five points for Chicago in regulation. Turner was fortunate for Indiana to make both of his three-point attempts to begin overtime. Twice in the extra stanza, Indiana led by one point, but Chicago held the advantage the entire time. After a Vucevic field goal, they led by four points because the Pacers were blitzing and double-teaming DeRozan each time he touched the ball. Indiana was simply unable to string stops together. They lose in overtime, 132-129.
