David Moyes takes aim at officials after latest West Ham penalty incident

Hammers’ late spot-kick was denied In Burnley draw.

David Moyes was infuriated once more after his West Ham team was denied a crucial late penalty for the second time in a week.
Lucas Paqueta and Danny Ings’ goals helped the Hammers overturn a 2-0 deficit at halftime to tie Burnley 2-2 in the Premier League on Sunday.

However, Moyes felt his team ought to have been given an opportunity to snatch all three points from the spot when Clarets midfielder Sander Berge headed onto his own arm late on.

The incident occurred just four days after the Hammers were eliminated from the Europa League first-leg match against Freiburg due to a penalty call that was made in the final seconds. As a result, the team now needs to overturn a 1-0 defect to reach the quarter-finals in Thursday’s home leg.

“Sander Berge heads the ball or tries to head the ball in front and it hits his arms,” Moyes said. “We had a decision not unlike that this midweek. There have been quite a few decisions today which really went against us.

“We have to do better, but let me tell you, you don’t jump with your two arms in front of your face, because you can only probably head it back that way.
