The Return of Tank Dell

The Houston Texans selected Tank Dell, a quick wide receiver, in addition to Offensive Rookie of the Year C.J. Stroud and Defensive Rookie of the Year Will Anderson Jr.

After officially becoming a Texan, Stroud requested that Houston wide receiver Tank Dell, who possesses exceptional skills, be drafted by the H-Town brass. With Dell having played college ball so close to NRG, the Texans scouting team was undoubtedly acquainted with him. And Caserio submitted the card bearing Dell’s name when the time arrived.
Dell caught 90 catches for 1329 yards in 2021. He caught 109 passes for 1398 yards in 2022. The speedster finished his undergraduate career with 292 completions for 4285 yards and 43 touchdowns.

Once paired with the sniper-armed Stroud, Dell took off at the next level. The young wideout caught 47 of the 75 passes aimed his way, for 709 yards, a 15.1 yard per catch average and 7 touchdowns.

Unfortunately, an injury ended his thrilling rookie campaign. Dell’s first season ended abruptly as he shattered his fibula during a week 13 game against the Denver Broncos. Dell had surgery the following day to get the broken leg fixed. In the space of a few sentences, his story moved from Offensive Rookie of the Year contender to Injured Reserve.
Thankfully, Dell’s rehabilitation advances along with the off-season. In fact, only the other day, Dell was spotted catching passes. A healthy Tank Dell, Nico Collins and re-signed Dalton Schultz makes a powerful mixture of targets for Stroud. Now he just needs another option in the backfield.
