Russell Wilson reportedly takes another step toward leaving Broncos, Puts Denver Home On the market

Denver Broncos quarterback, Russell Wilson, could potentially return for the 2024 season, but all indications lead to a departure.

Wilson seems to have moved another step in that direction recently. Wilson and wife Ciara have listed their Cherry Hills house for sale, and according to Thomas Gounley of the Denver business website BusinessDen, they are taking bids and giving prospective buyers tours. The home, which Wilson and Ciara purchased in April 2022 for $25 million, is the most expensive property ever sold in the Denver area. Though nothing is known regarding what the couple might be asking for the property right now.

Wilson’s future is still undecided, but it seems like the writing is on the wall. Sean Payton, the coach of the Broncos, recently stated that the team has not yet begun to thoroughly assess the quarterback situation. But Wilson is unlikely to return after he publicly accused the Broncos of threatening to bench him if he declined to renegotiate his contract.
Wilson’s deal willpose challenges for Denver when they attempt to let go of him because it would cost a significant amount of dead cash to just cut him. At least among oddsmakers, one team is seen as a serious contender for his services.
