Report: Chad Alexander leaving Jets to become Chargers’ assistant G.M.

According to Connor Hughes of SNY, Chad Alexander, the director of player personnel for the Jets, is leaving to take a position as assistant general manager with the Chargers.

Alexander was extensively involved in managing the Player Personnel Department throughout his five seasons with the Jets, working alongside deputy general managerRex Hogan and general manager Joe Douglas. Hogan was recently let go by the Jets.

Alexander worked for the Ravens for 20 seasons as an executive before coming to the Jets. He advanced to the position of assistant director of pro personnel, which he kept in Baltimore for nine years. After first joining the Ravens in 1999, he also held positions as a personnel assistant, pro scout, and area scout.

Alexander worked at “Power of Relationships” in Minneapolis for a year, treating primary pupils with behavioral difficulties, prior to joining the NFL.

Joe Hortiz, who left the Ravens to take a general manager position with the Chargers, reunites with him. For the duration of Alexander’s stay in Baltimore, Hortiz and Alexander collaborated.
