Parkers ask permission to interview highly demanded and respected Dallas Cowboy coach

The Green Bay Packers have wasted no time in trying to find a new defensive coordinator. Joe Barry, the defensive coordinator for the Packers since 2021, was fired, as was announced earlier this week.

The defence, which includes eight former first-round picks and other elite players, had yet another unsatisfactory season before the decision was made.

According to reports, former Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley was the first candidate interviewed for the job left vacant by Barry. Barry worked under Staley in 2020 when the latter was the defensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Rams. Hiring Staley would ensure that Green Bay’s defensive scheme would remain relatively the same.

Apart from Staley and Babich, there are rumours that Green Bay has requested authorization from the Dallas Cowboys to speak with one of their defensive coordinators.
Though it is not Al Harris as many fans would have hoped, the former Packers cornerback who serves as the Cowboys’ defensive backs coach.

Aden Durde

Aden Durde is a name that football fans will soon come to know if they have not already. According to Todd Archer of ESPN, the Packers are not the only team that has asked to interview him for the open defensive coordinator position:
“Green Bay, the Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta have sought permission to speak to Cowboys defensive line coach Aden Durde, per multiple sources. He has been with the team since 2021, having spent 5 years with Dan Quinn in Atlanta, where he also worked with new coach Raheem Morris”.
Aden Durde has had quite the journey to becoming a NFL coach. He was born and raised in Europe, unlike the majority of professional coaches.
Durde played professionally in the United Kingdom. He was a player for the German team Hamburg Sea Devils as well.
