Kieran McKenna believes Ipswich Town’s performance in their 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest deserved a share of the points, even if his side wasn’t at their best.
The decisive moment came early in the second half when former Ipswich loanee Chris Wood converted a penalty, securing the win for Forest at the City Ground.
Reflecting on the match, McKenna felt a draw would have been a fair result. “We didn’t work the ball well enough,” he admitted. “We had some momentum and pressure in the last 10 minutes, but they’re very hard to break down in that phase. With five at the back and big centre-halves, they defend the frame of the goal extremely well.”
