The Baltimore Ravens have announced that rookie cornerback T.J. Tampa has been designated to return from injured reserve, opening his 21-day practice window. Tampa had been sidelined since October 26 due to an ankle injury.
The fourth-round draft pick has participated in four games this season, recording one tackle. While his defensive contributions have been minimal with just eight snaps, Tampa has been a significant presence on special teams, logging 77% of their snaps.
The Ravens have bolstered their cornerback depth recently with the acquisition of Tre’Davious White and the return of Jalyn Armour-Davis, who recovered from a knee injury. Despite these reinforcements, Tampa’s return could provide additional support to the team’s secondary. He was limited in his practice session on Thursday.
Elsewhere on the team, inside linebacker Roquan Smith (hamstring) and defensive lineman Michael Pierce (calf) participated in practice on a limited basis for the second straight day. Tight end Charlie Kolar (forearm), cornerback Arthur Maulet (calf/knee), and outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy (hamstring/neck) remained sidelined for a second day. Defensive linemen Travis Jones (ankle) and Broderick Washington (knee/rest) were downgraded to out of practice after Jones was limited on Wednesday and Washington was previously not listed on the injury report.
On a positive note, safety Sanoussi Kane returned to full participation on Thursday following limited practice work the previous day.
