Today, hundreds of compassionate bikers will ride through the streets of Stoke-on-Trent, delivering gifts destined to brighten Christmas morning for children in need. Around 2,000 participants, known as Star Bikers, are gearing up for the 46th annual Toy Run, set to take place on Sunday, November 24.
The event begins at the bet365 Stadium at approximately 11 a.m., with the bikers embarking on a route that will take them through Trentham, Blurton, Weston Coyney, Bentilee, Baddeley Green, Milton, Sneyd Green, and Northwood. The journey will conclude at the King’s Hall in Stoke, where donations will be dropped off between 12:10 p.m. and 12:30 p.m., followed by a celebratory gathering.
Riders can start assembling at the stadium from 10 a.m. and are encouraged to contribute a suggested donation of £2 per participant. Reflecting on the enduring legacy of the event, a Toy Run spokesperson remarked, “We have been going for over 46 years and we have no plans to stop soon.”
The Toy Run will weave its way through Blurton, Dresden, Longton, Bentilee, Bucknall, Abbey Hulton, Baddeley Green, Milton, Hanley, Northwood, and finally, Stoke, spreading holiday cheer throughout the city.
