Austin is expected to remain the Steelers’ DC going into the 2024 campaign. They are keeping their defensive coordinator in place for his third and fourth seasons, even though they are making coaching changes that will probably include firing quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan.
Austin joined the Steelers’ staff in 2019 after serving as a senior defensive assistant and secondary coach.

Due to injuries that ended their seasons, the team lost both of its starting inside linebackers. Gerald Alexander, the assistant defensive backs coach, will be joining the Las Vegas Raiders as the safeties coach in 2024, so Austin’s staff will be different.
As of now, that’s the only defensive coaching change the Steelers have had
