Crystal Palace may recall winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi from his loan at Sheffield United, reports former Premier League scout Mick Brown.
The 21-year-old Rak-Sakyi has made just 10 senior appearances for Crystal Palace, but he’s highly regarded due to his impressive youth record—scoring 32 goals and providing 16 assists in 57 appearances for Palace’s U18 and U21 teams. Internationally, he has also shown promise, with one goal in five caps for England’s U20 team.

Although Palace lost Michael Olise to Bayern Munich this summer, they still opted to send Rak-Sakyi on loan to Sheffield United in the Championship. While his performances haven’t been sensational, he’s been effective for Sheffield, tallying two goals and an assist in 11 league appearances.
Crystal Palace Considering Jesurun Rak-Sakyi Recall
With just six Premier League goals this season, Palace’s attacking struggles are evident, as the Eagles currently have the fewest big chances created in the league. Half of their goals have come from Jean-Philippe Mateta, with Eberechi Eze, Marc Guehi, and a Brentford own goal making up the rest.
Mick Brown, former Premier League scout, has noted that Palace are closely monitoring Rak-Sakyi’s loan stint. “Palace have been monitoring him closely,” Brown shared with Football Insider. “He went to Sheffield United to play regularly, which wouldn’t have happened at Palace.”
Despite their need, Brown believes a recall is unlikely. “They inserted a recall option for a reason,” he continued, “but I’d be surprised if it happens.”
