Baris Alper Yilmaz and Semih Kilicsoy are reportedly on Nottingham Forest’s radar, but they’re also drawing attention from other Premier League clubs and teams across Europe.
Nottingham Forest are reportedly eyeing two Turkish international forwards, joining several Premier League clubs in the competition for their signatures.
According to CaughtOffside, Forest is interested in Galatasaray’s Baris Alper Yilmaz and Besiktas teenager Semih Kilicsoy. Both players are valued around €25-30m (£21-25m), making them significant targets for a potential January move. Yilmaz, 24, a highly regarded right-winger, has had a strong start to the season with four goals in Galatasaray’s first six Super Lig matches. A Forest scout reportedly attended the recent derby against Fenerbahce, but Tottenham and Brighton are also showing interest.
Kilicsoy, who recently turned 19, is a rising star. His rapid development earned him a spot in Turkey’s Euro 2024 squad. The versatile forward, who plays either as a striker or on the left wing, netted 12 goals across all competitions last season and has contributed a couple of assists this year. Aston Villa, Fulham, and clubs from across Europe are also monitoring his progress.
Forest already have depth in wide positions with players like Callum Hudson-Odoi, Anthony Elanga, Ramon Sosa, and Jota Silva, while Morgan Gibbs-White can also play out wide.
However, they may reignite their search for a striker in January. Forest previously pursued Eddie Nketiah and Santiago Gimenez but failed to land either, leaving Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi as their primary options up front.
