Six players for Birmingham City’s match against Wrexham may be out.

News about Birmingham City’s roster before their League One matchup with Wrexham next Monday

Dion Sanderson and Keshi Anderson might be available for Birmingham City’s match against Wrexham following the international break, according to Chris Davies. On paper, the Blues’ matchup with fellow unbeaten team Wrexham is one of the most intriguing in League One and takes place on Monday. The return of his international team will give Davies more confidence, but four players are missing and Sanderson and Anderson are still question marks.

When asked if any of the injuries will heal over the international break, Davies replied, “Maybe for the Wrexham game.” It’s a moving target, so we’ll have to wait and watch how their rehabilitation goes over the course of the next week or so. For the people who are currently out, it’s touch and go. Luke Harris and Ethan Laird sustained ankle injuries during the Blues’ victory against Wigan Athletic last weekend, so they will be sidelined. Earlier this week, Davies provided an update on Laird and Harris, stating: “Ethan and Luke Harris both appear to be out for some time due to injuries to their ankles. We received those outcomes back.

“They will both miss some time, but our squad is ready to handle that.” I would estimate that it will be into the months. We need to observe how they both settle, so I can’t say for sure yet, but I believe it will take more than a month for them both.

Keshi Anderson:

No information provided Although Anderson has had a great start to the season, he struggled in last week’s Carabao Cup loss for the Blues against Fulham. According to Davies, Anderson might be out for “a few weeks.” Following Anderson’s injury, the Blues manager stated, “I haven’t heard back from the physio but he pulled up with something just before he was going to come off.”

Dion Sanderson: No specific injury

After missing the victory at Wycombe owing to suspension, Sanderson was an unexpected absence versus Leyton Orient. Following the game, Davies disclosed that the centre back will be out for a while. It’s a couple weeks, he said. Since there is uncertainty, we are unable to comment at this time, but it should be clear in a few weeks.”

Athan Laird : injury,

Ankle The right-back’s ankle injury will keep him out of action until at least next month. Laird, who began the Blues’ first six games under Davies and survived the entire preseason, will be devastated by the news. Due to a string of ailments, Laird only played in 25 league games during his first season at St Andrew’s and is currently expected to miss further time.

Luke Harris:

Ankle Injury Similar to Laird, Fulham loanee Harris was substituted out against Wigan due to a medical issue, and as a result, he was unable to play for Wales under-21s during the international break. Davies has ruled out the 19-year-old for longer than a month. Lee

Buchanan’s calf: injury,

Left-back Due to Buchanan’s preseason calf injury, Alex Cochrane has been able to take his place in the starting lineup. Buchanan is expected back before the end of the month.

According to Davies, “We are looking towards the end of September for him to be available, all being well. His return to training is mid-September, which means he needs to get at least a couple of weeks under his belt.” I can see and hear that he is making development as expected. Although he has a minor calf injury, he is healing well and I can’t wait for him to recover. “I’m looking forward to him being fit because I felt like he had a few niggles in the preseason and I didn’t get a really good look at him.”

Alfie Chang :

After missing more than a year due to a cruciate knee ligament injury, Chang is being allowed time to regain his fitness. The 21-year-old midfielder has not been given a return date; he continues to regularly visit the Blues training base’s treatment room. Chang is not currently able to play in League One matches because he was left off of the Blues’ roster. Recently, Davies stated: “He’s in end-stage rehab right now.” He’s reached a stage where things are going well, but I believe he still has more work to do before he truly steps up his training.
