Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is facing another stint on the sidelines after the Roosters enforcer was given marching orders for an ugly shot on Sam Verrills.

The Roosters prop had barely featured in his much-anticipated return from suspension, which he served over the past month, before finding himself back in hot water.

In an attempt to tackle Titans hooker, Waerea-Hargreaves collected Verrills on the jaw with his right shoulder.

“Could be in a little bit of trouble there Jared,” Steve ‘Blocker’ Roach said on Fox League.

Referee Adam Gee did not immediately call a penalty with play continuing before the ensuing set saw Alofiana Khan-Pereira find the line.

However, in the break of play, the Bunker alerted Gee of the tackle resulting in his dismissal.

“It’s been deemed direct, moderate force,” Gee said.

With his history, the latest incident raises concerns of the possibility of another long suspension, with the ramifications set to inflict on the Roosters finals campaign.

“Based on the prior and the charges and what he’s got hanging over himself, you would think at least one to two weeks,” Corey Parker said on Fox League.

“The big story is will Jared play again this season? Just coming back from four weeks out for a similar role, has now just gone down that same path again…”

“That’s the thing that is going to hurt him, he’s got carryovers,” Cooper Cronk added.

“He’s got a record that will tip whatever charge it is whether it’s a one or two (weeks) up to another level.”

Roosters coach Trent Robinson dismissed questions on the matter.

Adding to the Roosters’ wounds, Joseph Suaalii nursed a suspected shoulder injury after an awkward tackle on David Fifita.

The union-bound centre was writhing in pain on the ground before he was assisted to the sheds, with his left arm placed into a makeshift sling by trainers.

It was later reported the injury was not as severe as initially believed, with Robinson confirming the star suffered a “really bad stinger”.

“He couldn’t get force out of it both on flexion and extension. It was getting better the longer the game went but not enough to get the strength back to play,” he said in the post-match press conference.

“Let’s hope by tomorrow that it’s in a good spot.”

Spencer Leniu and Daniel Tupou joined the list of nervous Roosters awaiting the match review committee, placed on report for shoulder charges. Victor Radley and Suaalii were the other players in trouble.

Earlier, Khan-Pereira produce a brilliant 93-metre individual effort to score a double for the Titans.

The contest was level in the 30th minute but a Roosters onslaught was rapidly brewing.

The visitors found the line three times through Daniel Tupou and Sam Walker heading into halftime before skipper James Tedesco engineered the first points in the final 40.

Angus Crichton recorded a hat-trick in the 57th minute before Sitili Tupouniua claimed an additional four points to seal a 48-22 result.

Gold Coast’s Jaimin Jolliffee gave the Roosters some easy run metres after he was placed on report for a dangerous tackle that flatten Leniu, who was removed from the field with a failed HIA.

The result sees the Roosters jump the Penrith Panthers on the premiership ladder to sit in second.
