THINGS GET INTERESTING: As Former Oxford United captain set to attend First over 50’s Manor Club event

A former Oxford United captain will be the special guest at a club event next month.

Malcolm Shotton, who led the U’s to their League Cup win in 1986, will be in attendance for The Manor Club’s first meeting of the season on September 4.

The Manor Club runs regular meetings for over 50s, offering a chance to socialise, reminisce and meet stars from the past and present.

Mr. Shotton captained the club during their time in the first flight and was United’s manager during the 1998/99 season.

Tickets, which include a buffet lunch, are available for £7 until midday on September 2.

They are available from the ticket office online, in person and over the phone, but will not be available on the day of the event.
