According to today’s edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Lautaro Martinez has already signed his contract extension with Inter Milan, with an official announcement expected in the next few days.
Securing Martinez on a new long-term deal has been a top priority for Inter this summer, and the negotiations, which started last year, have been ongoing for months. Despite some challenges, mainly regarding wage demands, the club and the player have finally reached an agreement. Martinez, who has never expressed a desire to leave Inter, instructed his agent to accept the club’s offer, avoiding further contract drama.
The official confirmation of the new deal is anticipated to arrive by mid-August, just in time for the start of the new Serie A season.
