JUST IN: ”I want that Super Bowl” QB Lamar Jackson discusses winning Super Bowl (LVIII) with Ravens

With a 13-4 record at the completion of the regular season, the Baltimore Ravens had secured home field advantage and the top seed in the AFC playoffs. Quarterback Lamar Jackson wants that trophy because the Ravens feel like they have their best chance to at least make the Super Bowl since that now-infamous 2019 season, when Baltimore defeated the Tennessee Titans 28-12 at home.

On Tom Brady’s “Let’s Go” podcast, Jackson stated, “I definitely do have that chip on my shoulder.” “That chip is still on my shoulder since I haven’t yet achieved what I set out to do. That Super Bowl is what I desire. That is the honor that I so much desire. We have the team, I think, to pull it off. We already have everything we need in the stadium, including coaches, trainers, and equipment guys.”

As the other AFC teams strive to beat Baltimore in the Divisional Round by beating the shit out of each other, the Ravens can kick back and enjoy the game. The players on John Harbaugh’s club will undoubtedly be thinking about 2019 because they are well-positioned to make a deep playoff run. There’s a distinct vibe to this Ravens club, though, with Todd Monken’s offense exploding and averaging 28.4 points per game and Mike Macdonald’s defense leading the league in points allowed per game (only 16.5).

The Ravens have “everything” they need to win the Super Bowl this season, Lamar is correct. They have the home-field advantage, the coaches, and the players.
