Shocking disclosure from the Everton Amadou Onana on Instagram about transfer from Everton to Aston Villa

Amadou Onana is edging closer to leaving Everton for Aston Villa.

The 22-year-old has been a regular performer for Sean Dyche at Goodison Park, but Aston Villa and Champions League football have come knocking.

Sources have told HITC that a £50 million deal has been proposed for Amadou Onana to secure a transfer from Everton to Aston Villa.

He played 30 Premier League games during the recently concluded season, as Everton survived relegation despite points deductions.

Both Aston Villa and Everton have already done transfer business this summer when Lewis Dobbin moved to Villa Park and Tim Iroegbunam moved to Goodison Park – Iroegbunam explained why he quit Champions League football for Everton.

Nonetheless, Onana was recently at Euro 2024 with Belgium where his performances looked unrecognisable, before his country were dumped out of the round of 16 stage.

In that regard, he isn’t on a high, but given his age, then there is a lot for Unai Emery to work with and a chance to transform him into one of Europe’s best midfield players.

But as of this moment, Onana is still an Everton player and, amid this talk of leaving, he posted on Instagram to his hundreds of thousands of followers.

The defensive-minded midfielder posted several snaps of his holiday, including heading a football, as Villa have some much-needed defensive depth in the midfield depart after Douglas Luiz joined Juventus.

Brilliant deal for all parties

This £50 million will be of very good use for Everton and it will allow them to spread it across the squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

Plus, it now looks likely that Everton will keep hold of Jarrad Branthwaite amid interest from Manchester United.

If you asked the Everton supporters what they prefer, they would probably keep Branthwaite on board and sell Onana.

And Villa get a player who can add extra legs to midfield, but most importantly fill in for the currently injured Boubacar Kamara.
