Evelyn and Josephine Ijeh, daughters of former Nigerian Super Eagles player Peter Ijeh, have followed their father’s path.
Evelyn Ijeh, daughter of former Super Eagles star Peter Ijeh, has signed a three-year contract extension with AC Milan after impressing during her loan spell from Mexican club Tigres Femenil, according to Soccernet.ng. The forward, who is eligible to represent the Super Falcons of Nigeria, scored four goals in 19 appearances for the Italian women’s team during the 2023-24 season, securing a long-term deal that will keep her at Milan until June 2027.
“AC Milan is delighted to announce that Evelyn Ijeh has joined the Club on a permanent deal from Club Tigres Femenil UANL. The Swedish forward, who joined AC Milan on loan in January, picked up 15 appearances and 4 goals for the Rossonere. Evelyn has signed a contract with the Club until 30 June 2027,” AC Milan stated on their official website.
Evelyn Ijeh celebrated the news on her Instagram page, reaffirming her commitment to the club.
While Evelyn had been linked with a potential future with the Super Falcons of Nigeria, her international prospects have become uncertain since she has also represented the Swedish national team and recently received a call-up to their senior squad.
Previously, both Evelyn and her sister Josephine had been invited by Randy Waldrum to join the Super Falcons on separate occasions.
